Okie, let’s give this a go again. Now that I’m done with the Master’s degree (OMG YAYZ), I have no excuse not to finally do my knitting blog up right. I still need to diagnose my old digital camera, but in the meantime I can get a handle on my UFOs and start banging them out the door or something:

I’ve been taking things slow since the knee surgery but this week I am turning my dining room table into The Finishing Zone(TM). I’ll have to sort through eBay Stash (everything on the table) first but that’s been long overdue. Worst case scenario, I pile the eBay stuff to the side and the FO sense of accomplishment turns into selling momentum
As I continue to grow into my existence, I am trying to be always mindful of the joy of new experiences. I plan on sharing these weekly. Here we go!
New Joy of the Week: Leeks. Cooking is one major area in which I’m trying to expand my horizons. I have tried and like lots of foods but until recently have relied upon a narrow range of dishes at home. I will have to find new ways to incorporate leeks, though! I am a big fan all things Allium so, no surprise, I like them leeks, too. They were okay steamed but much better sauteed in a little olive oil with some fresh thyme, and should make it into the vegetable rotation a couple of times a month.
